Wow… It’s been busy. A lot has changed since I’ve been here. I’ve been a bit disconnected from the tubes as of late. Honestly, it feels kind of nice. A few things worth noting:
I am no long working for LaughingSquid. I received a job offer from a local software company, and the opportunity was too awesome to turn down. I started there on the 9th, and so far so good. My coworkers are a lot of fun and do a good job of keeping me busy.
It’s pretty early still, but I’m sure I made the right choice on this one. It feels nice to be in an office again, and actually see the people I work with.

I bought a car. A 2000 Saab 93S Turbo. Boy is it awesome. I didn’t think I could like any other car as much as my MX3, but I like the Saab. A lot. The SID’s (Saab Information Display) display was all whacked out though. It looked like some crazy Alien text, rather than the Temperature, Radio information, and a million other things it was supposed to display. Surprisingly enough, I fixed it after work today. It seems there’s a design flaw with the LCD connector. The ribbon cable that attaches it to the pcb is just glued on, and apparently doesn’t last more than a year or so before it ‘goes bad’. I literally repaired it in less than 30 minutes (including taking it out of the dash).

Turns out I can drive in the city just fine. Driving in large cities has always intimidated me. Even being the passenger in large cities had me grabbing for the ‘Oh Shit’ handle. I didn’t have a choice the other night, and I did it like a champ! Fear Me.

Other than that, it’s just been busy. Between Resident Evil4, EVE, work, and keeping things clean… there isn’t much time at the end of the day. I like this though. I do need to find some time to squeeze some exercise in. Now that I’m working a first shift, maybe I can find some martial arts to cure the unfit that I currently am.

Oh, I bought a hat. I haven’t worn a hat on a regular basis since probably 8th grade. My friend Sam brought me one from Vietnam that I started wearing when I didn’t feel like doing anything with my hair. Last weekend we went to the Army Surplus downtown. Not sure what compelled me to buy said hat, but I love it.
